Today is Earth Day and the weather is beautiful here in Louisiana!
Honestly if you would have asked me what Earth Day was a few months ago I wouldn’t have had the slightest idea, but, as an avid reader of the free people bldg 25 blog, just recently I was able to explore more in depth about what this day is all about!
Earth day is not limited to just a day, it’s an event centered around calling attention to our enviornment and how as a community we make an impact on the earth that will in turn affect our future generations. By making small changes in our daily lifestyles we can have a positive affect on nature and inspire people around us to do the same 🙂
By doing simple things like making sure we turn off the lights before leaving the house, opting for washable dishes instead of paper and plastic ones, and getting involved with the recycling program in your local area, we can provide a better environment for future generations to come!
You can learn more about earth day events and take the pledge by stating one thing you will do in honor of earth day today on earth day’s very own website: http://www.earthday.org/takeaction/
