Deep Breathes 

With school coming to a close and summer right around the corner, it seems like everyone has a lot on their plates. Having so much going on all at once can add a lot of unwanted stress in our lives.

Stress is part of being human, but unfortunately it can cause some serious damage. It effects almost every system in your body! It has the ability to raise blood pressure, suppress the immune system, and even speeding up the aging process. 

It’s important that you find healthy stress relievers that work best for you. Wether it’s working in your garden, listening to music, dancing, taking a warm bath, prayer, or reading a good book. Find one or a few that work best for you! 

For me yoga and meditation work best! If you’re a yogi like me then this website provides a quick and easy yoga routine that works naturally with easy body poses and breathing to give you a sense of calm and relaxation. 

I’ve also just recently picked up the book “Treasure Yourself” by Miranda Kerr and for some reason it’s been doing wonders at calming me down. It advocates the use of positive affirmations in your daily life, how to become more confident, and how to stay true to yourself. I highly recommend it if you love getting lost in a book to relax. 

Also, for those of us who love everything essential oils try making this blend 

3 drops lavender essential oil

1 drop bergamot essential oil 

2 drops wild orange essential oil

And 1 teaspoon coconut oil

Add this mix to a bath, place it in a diffuser, or apply directly on your wrist and forearms for a simple aromatherapy fix.
